This modern, elegant one-bedroom haven is located on the third floor of a traditional Niçoise apartment building in the exclusive Carré d'Or district of Nice. There is a lift in the building for guests' convenience and a small private balcony just off the bedroom which catches the sun throughout the day.

The main living area is a contemporary, open-plan room which consists of the lounge area, kitchen and dining space. The open-plan lounge is bright and feels very spacious. A comfortable sofa seats two and is positioned in front of the large flat screen TV which has some English speaking channels and a DVD player so guests can relax after a day spent exploring the city and surrounding region.

There is also a round dining table for 4 in the lounge, allowing guests to enjoy romantic dinners for two or entertain friends during their stay. The lounge area is also equipped with air-conditioning to keep guests cool during the summer months.

Within the living area is a modern, fully fitted kitchen. This pleasant space is complete with a large fridge-freezer, hob, oven, a combination washer-dryer and a dishwasher. There are also smaller appliances such as a kettle, a cafetière and cooking equipment, helping guests to feel at home.

The bedroom is an elegant space, both romantic and stylish. A king size bed is positioned between two white bedside tables which match the free standing wardrobe in the room. Lovely parquet flooring, luxury linens and floor-to-ceiling French windows make the room a bright and charming space. The bedroom also has air-conditioning, so guests can be sure to enjoy a wonderful night's sleep.

The bathroom is bright, white and modern with a large walk-in corner shower, sink and vanity unit, a bidet and WC.

The Carré d'Or (which translates as 'Golden Square', a reference to the neighbourhood's desirability) is a vibrant area with a partly pedestrianised shopping street known as the 'Zone Pietonne'. In the Zone Pietonne guests will find exclusive shops, restaurants and brasseries, all just a few minute's walk from the apartment. The abundance of places to shop along with the wide choice of eateries ensure that the neighbourhood maintains its buzzing atmosphere, even well into the evening.

The apartment is also very close to Avenue Jean Médecin, the busiest commercial shopping street in Nice. Here guests can indulge in even more shopping in one of the chic department and high street stores which line the avenue.

Should guests wish to spend a day at the beach, the stunning Mediterranean Sea is less than a 10-minute walk from the apartment. Once at the pebbly beaches which sit in the beautiful 'Bay of Angels', guests can choose between spending the day on the public beach or on one of the many private beaches. A sunbed on a private beach will set guests back around 15 to 20 euros for the day.

Nice's famous Old Town or 'Vieille Ville' is also just a short walk away from the property. The historic Old Town is an enchanting maze of narrow streets with brightly-coloured buildings and cobbled pathways. Here guests can find artisanal produce in the shops and Cours Saleya market stalls to cook and enjoy French-inspired delights. There is also an antiques market every Monday on the famous Cours Saleya which is well worth a look.

Should guests choose to explore neighbouring regions on the Côte d’Azur, the main train station is located just at the top of Avenue Jean Médecin, just a short walk from the apartment. Trains run every 15 minutes in either direction and will take guests to wonderful towns along the coast such as Cannes, Antibes, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Eze and Monte Carlo, all of which make for a wonderful day-trip on the Riviera.
