The open-plan living and dining area is tastefully decorated with a charming combination of modern and antique furnishings. A white leather couch seats two and faces a 3D flat screen TV with eyeglasses for 4, complete with cable and English news channels. It is also equipped with a DVD/Blu-Ray player as well as a telephone with free international calls, and WiFi is provided in the apartment.

The room is decorated with a mix of original artwork and Chagall reproductions, adding a nice splash of colour to the bright space, and 2 tall windows allow for plenty of light and fresh air to enter the room. The modern furniture is complimented with the more classic wooden dining table and chairs and an antique wooden armchair with an accompanying reading lamp for nights in relaxing with a good book.

The kitchen is found to the side of the dining area and is fully equipped with modern appliances such as an oven, ceramic stove top, microwave, and fridge-freezer. A separate laundry/utility room is provided with a washing machine and there is drying space to hang clothing both within and outside the apartment.

The bedroom is both bright and very comfortable. A British king-size bed with a classic Louis XV-style headboard provides an elegant touch while ample hanging and drawer space is provided for settling in comfortably. There are also bedside tables with lamps and the charming antique vanity table with mirror is also an attractive feature. The room also has double curtains so that guests can enjoy late mornings in bed.

The compact yet stylish shower room is equipped with walk-in shower with a rain head and handheld shower, a contemporary vanity unit and a towel warmer. The WC is in a separate room for guests’ convenience.

Just a few steps from the building, Nice’s famous port area offers visitors a wonderful selection of bars and restaurants from the delicious seafood of ‘Les Pecheurs’ on one side to the vegetarian’s paradise of ‘La Zucca Magica’ on the other. An aperitif on the east side of the port is highly recommended as the last of the day’s sun creates a lovely atmosphere on warm evenings on one of the many terraces.

Just a five-minute walk away from the apartment, the bustling Old Town or ‘Vieille Ville’ of Nice offers even more bars and restaurants to choose from. The Old Town is also famous for its markets as every morning the main strip of the Cours Saleya comes alive with fresh food and flower stands as well as the impressive antique market which takes place every Monday. For those missing out on Monday’s action, the apartment itself is located at the heart of the flea market and antiques quarter of Nice, so prospective buyers are spoilt for choice.

Situated to the east of Nice’s centre, the port area offers easy access to some of the Riviera’s most attractive places to visit. A spectacular coastline walk of a little over an hour to the quaint fishing and beach town of Villefranche-sur-Mer is a wonderful way to spend a morning. A quieter beach option to that of Nice, Villefranche is a popular choice for long afternoons in the sun for locals and visitors alike.

Just slightly further along the coast, the seafront at Eze-sur-Mer and its hilltop neighbour Eze Village are also favourite spots for day trips, while the majestic Monte Carlo and Monaco are just half an hour by bus or train from Nice.
