Nice is the biggest and most dynamic city of the Riviera and is famous for sun, blue skies, miles of beaches and its long Promenade des Anglais. This property sits at the very heart of all of this with stunning views of the Promenade and the glistening Mediterranean Sea and miles of public and private beaches literally on its doorstep.
The majority of Nice's 8 km of beaches are fully open to the public, and during the summer, those in front of the Old Town are bustling with sunbathers of all ages while those further to the west are a lot calmer by comparison. There are also plenty of private beaches which offer bar and dining facilities as well as comfy sun loungers, drinks served directly to where you lie and private shower and toilet facilities. A day on a lounger costs somewhere between €15 and €25 for the day, but it is a truly wonderful way to enjoy a day of luxury. Since Nice's beaches are pebbled and not sandy, a comfy lounger can be very enjoyable for those planning on putting in a lot of time in the sun.
Florida Beach is one example and is located almost directly across from the property, but perhaps the best in terms of location, quality food and great cocktails is a short walk up the Promenade to Castel Plage, which takes pride of place beneath the impressive Bellanda Tower and Nice's ancient 'Château' site and hilltop public park.
If sun worshipping isn't your idea of a holiday, Nice has plenty to offer visitors in terms of culture, history, food and atmosphere and again this property is
in a great location to take advantage of it all. You don't have to wander far from the Promenade to find a multitude of restaurants, cafés, bars and shops on the lively 'Zone Pietonne', or pedestrian street, found less than a 15-minute stroll from the apartment. This attractive walking street is alive well into the night on balmy summer evenings and leads to the grand Place Massena, the city's most iconic square whose impressive fountain is a popular meeting point for locals and partying travellers.
This property is perfect for a city break by the sea and with Nice's international airport just 5 km down the road, no time need be wasted.
