THE PROPERTY
The Property
It's a charming old-world design apartment with splendid high ceilings (haut plafond) in French. The ceiling cornices are ornate in the style of an Italian Palazzo and all the rooms feature Trompe D'Oeil marble floor tiles. The apartment is near everything you can imagind Old Nice (Vieille Ville) is about. It's active, it's vibrant, it's exciting. Life abounds everywhere. Warning, if the sounds of a fish market, a boulangerie, several outdoor cafes and their associated scooters and municipal bangings and clatterings are likely to annoy you, do not visit our apartment. If however you want to be in the thick of this romantic Nicoise environment and immerse yourself in its atmosphere, actually become part of the atmosphere, this is the place for you. There is a balcony from each of the bedrooms which allows you to watch the world go by in comfort. The apartment sleeps up to 6 people including the use of a sofabed in the main living room, this is a proper bed when unfolded, not a bendy frame and thin mattress. The apartment is very luxuriously appointed. Soft fabrics and cushions, meditteranean colours and dark wood. There is dining space for 8. Note: Unfortunately we have now fully booked the apartment for 2007. |
The Location
La Reine is set just off Vieux Nice's Place Rosetti. Place Rosetti is a lively old world town square filled with cafes, restaurants, creperies and ice cream parlours. If you had to choose a centre point of Vieux Nice, Place Rosetti would at the very least be a noteworthy contender. |
