For its 13th instalment, the International Congress on Neuromuscular Diseases has chosen the Riviera capital of Nice as its destination. The global gathering is held every four years in a different city each time and this year it is the turn of sunny South of France to welcome experts, researchers, doctors and key players to its shores.
The six-day event, which has been running for over 50 years, is an intensive conference tackling the latest developments, technologies and treatments in areas such as motor neuron disease, neuromuscular junction and peripheral neuropathies. Split over several conference rooms, the meeting is a mix of teaching courses, plenary sessions and workshops.
Nice has become a popular destination for international gatherings such as the ICNMD due to its city-based international airport and of course, its very pleasant climate and infinite charm. The Acropolis, where the conference is held is a superb modern facility right in the heart of Nice’s city centre. Just a few moments’ walk from high street shopping, the quaint Old Town and attractive port area, it is a great location at which to be based for a short, or longer stay in Nice.
To enjoy Nice to its fullest, there’s no better way than in the comfort of a well-located apartment or villa. The liberty of self-catering accommodation allows visitors to come and go as they like and make the most of their time on the Côte d’Azur.
