Monaco-ITER - International Fusion Energy Days (MIIFED) 2013

Encouraged by its esteemed patron, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the MIIFED international conference is a one of a kind meeting of engineers, experts and key industry players who are concerned with research and development in the area of fusion energy. The conference is aimed at presenting the latest developments and technologies of the ITER project, the largest ever fusion reactor, located in Saint Paul-lez-Durance, France, which is due for completion for experimentation in 2020.

ITER is made up of representatives and scientists from China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the USA. The truly global project seeks to break down boundaries of how we understand modern energy sources, proving through experiment that commercial enery may come from fusion technology, and one of the main aims of MIIFED is to discuss how is going about doing this.

The three day conference of MIIFED sees the most important players in fusion energy coming together in an exchange of ideas, techniques and research tools. Learning, networking and sharing are all at the core of the event which is made up of a series of presentations, round-table discussions, plenary and networking sessions. MIIFED is held in the superb, purpose-built conference centre, the Grimaldi Forum. The venue has state-of-the-art conference facilities and is perched over the magnificent Mediterranean Sea and the bay of Monte-Carlo, just a short walk from the famous Casino Square. Registration fees are dependant on how early participants sign up, but fees for the overall event run from €150 to €450 with special rates for students.
