Eze Village

The exotic gardens are perched on the top of this amazing perched village. The narrow streets wind up towards this awe inspiring cactus garden that culminates in ruined chateau.

A local sculptors work narrates your route through architectural plants, raw landscape and breathtaking views. The footpaths are quite literally dizzying and it defies belief that a town could ever have been conceived here. Well worth the effort and the small entrance fee.

Follow in the footsteps of some of Eze's famous past inhabitants. The mountains are criss-crossed with footpaths trodden by ancient tribes, Romans, artists, philosophers and ordinary people.

Frederic Nietzsche was a famous philosopher who was inspired by the beauty of the area to some of his greatest works. Follow his footsteps along the Nietzsche trail amongst others.

The village is dotted with interesting boutique shops, artists ateliers and shady cafes and little bars. Take a wander and find unique gifts or original pieces of work from paintings to jewellery to tapestries.

The narrow streets also house some sweet, shady cafes beneath mature trees, fine restaurants and cosy bars. Take a breather in one of them before winding up to the exotic gardens. It's a treasure trove of discovery in the winding streets of Eze.
