Place Massena is a beautiful, spacious square that is surrounded with impressive architecture. The buildings are in beautiful tones of pink and orange that stand out against the blue skies. Place Massena plays host to many cultural events during the year including the momentous annual carnival, music concerts and the extraordinary Christmas market. It is also a fabulous place to enjoy a morning coffee in the sunshine.

Across place Massena is the ‘Golden Square’ shopping district. This area of Nice is full of both designer and high street stores and plenty of relaxed Riviera restaurants that are ideal for lunch.

Directly in front of the property, just across the park, is the animated Old Town of Nice. This is a wonderfully Provençal area of the city that has maintained its traditional charm. The Niçois buildings in the Old Town have wooden shutters and terracotta rooftops that give away the area's Mediterranean location. Alternatively, there are also the bright lights of Cannes and Monaco to experience that can also be reached within the hour by train.
