This charming, modern 1-bedroom apartment is perfectly located in the centre of Nice, just a minute's walk from Avenue Jean Médecin, the main shopping street in Nice. The azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea as well as the colourful, historic Old Town, or ‘Vieux Nice’ as the locals refer to it, are both just within a 10-minute stroll of the apartment.

The apartment is situated on the first floor of a newly-built complex with a lift and the property can sleep up to four guests. Despite its central location, the apartment has double-glazed windows and electric shutters throughout so guests can enjoy the hustle and bustle of this lively city before returning to the calm of their temporary home. The property also provides air-conditioning throughout and is equipped with WiFi Internet.

The apartment features a spacious terrace with pretty plants, complete with a sun lounger and a dining table and four chairs for guests to enjoy dining al fresco. The terrace is accessible through two sets of sliding doors in the open plan living area and can also be accessed through another door in the bedroom.

The open plan living area has lovely, contemporary furnishings and an LCD flat screen TV, and the lounge area provides a sofa bed which can sleep two guests if desired. A dining table and chairs next to the kitchen and terrace offer guests the option to eat indoors when not dining al fresco.

The modern, fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with white gloss cabinets and all necessary modern appliances including an oven and hob, fridge/ freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher.

The master bedroom is a comfortable, bright room with a fresh Riviera feel. The room is furnished with a double bed as well as a large fitted wardrobe which runs along one wall of the room, and the bedroom enjoys a private separate access onto the terrace through a tall patio door.

The light, fully-tiled bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. The bathroom is modern and fitted with a shower enclosure, vanity area and WC, and the apartment also has a separate guest WC.

This lovely apartment is situated on a calm, tree-lined boulevard in the heart of Nice's exclusive 'Carré d'Or' district. The 'Carré d'Or' translates as ‘The Golden Square’, referred to as such due to its desirability amongst locals and tourists alike. The Carré d'Or district is a fantastic location in the city and is just a 5-minute walk from the beach, a 10-minute walk from Nice's Old Town and a mere stone's throw away from the popular 'Zone Piétonne' area.

The 'Zone Piétonne' is a pedestrianised area in the centre of Nice given over to chic designer boutiques, independent shops and great eateries and cafés where locals sit in the sun and watch the world go by with an espresso or glass of wine.

Also just a minute’s walk away from the apartment is the main shopping street in Nice named after the twice-elected mayor of Nice, Jean Médecin. Here there is every amenity from supermarkets and cafés to high street stores and even a large shopping centre. Guests can also visit Nice's largest church, the 'Basilique Notre-Dame de Nice’, which is a stunning Neo-Gothic basilica that resembles the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.

At the end of Avenue Jean Médecin is the famous Place Massena, the main square in the city where locals and tourists alike converge during public holidays and events such as the Nice Carnival which is held there every February. During the summer months, it is frequently the venue for open-air concerts too. This pedestrianised square is just a short walk southwards from the apartment so guests can wander down and see the ‘Fontaine du Soleil’, the large white marble and bronze fountain set at the edge the square that depicts Apollo surrounded by representations of Earth, Mars, Mercury, Saturn and Venus.

From here, steps onto Rue Alexandre Mari lead down into the Old Town, or ‘Vieux Nice’, which is a truly enchanting part of the city. Take a stroll around the streets and alleys full of brightly-coloured rows of buildings. The streets are so narrow that they are shaded and cool, even in the height of summer.

In the Old Town there is a boulangerie on almost every corner that fills the streets with the smell of freshly baked bread, and the many cafés, fromageries, Provençal shops, socca stands and market stalls selling every herb imaginable offer an enticing, authentic experience of Niçoise culture and cuisine.
