This lovingly restored 1-bedroom apartment is found on the 4th floor of a classic Niçois building located in the beautiful quarter of Nice known as 'Les Musiciens'. With two private balconies and a great location close to shopping, restaurants and the beaches, this bright and airy apartment is a wonderful pied-à-terre or romantic retreat for two in the city centre of Nice.

The communal areas of the building are excellently maintained and the building's original lift with wrought iron, cherry wood and mosaic flooring is in wonderful condition, giving a real authentic feel to this charming Niçois building.

The apartment's two lovely private balconies are located off the kitchen and bedroom. A small table with two chairs on the balcony outside the bedroom allows guests to dine al fresco if they wish, or enjoy breakfast in the sunshine before heading out to explore the city.

The living area is full of charm with with a beautiful, eclectic mix of antique furnishings and contemporary touches. The entertainment system brings guests back to date with a flat screen TV with cable channels, some of them in English, a DVD player, HiFi stereo system and board games for relaxed evenings in. A pretty Juliette balcony overlooks the street from the living area and curtains and electric shutters allow for privacy in the room.

The spacious kitchen is separate from the living area and has a hardwood dining table and four chairs for sharing meals at home. Contemporary in design, the kitchen is white, bright and fully fitted with everything guests will need including a fridge-freezer, oven with electric hob, a microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A small balcony off the kitchen provides guests with an extra space which can be used for drying clothes or simply for standing to watch the world go by.

The bedroom is a bright and relaxing space with a comfortable double bed. Unique antiques and artwork give the room an old world charm and the simple, light decor adds to the spacious feel of the room. A walk-in closet is located in the hall outside the room and the bedroom's pretty balcony provides a small table and two chairs to enjoy breakfast in the sun or a glass of wine in the evening. As with the lounge, curtains and electric shutters are provided on the windows for privacy.

The stunning bathroom has been recently renovated to a superb standard. The very spacious walk-in shower has both a rain shower head and a handheld shower. Modern double sinks sit below twin mirrors and the contemporary, sleek granite tiling creates a lovely juxtaposition with the antique cupboard and wrought iron radiator. The WC is separate and has also been renovated to a very high standard.

This stunning one-bedroom apartment is excellently located in the lovely Musicians Quarter of Nice. The apartment is just minutes away on foot from the busy areas of the city centre where a vast array of shopping areas, bars and restaurants can be found.

The Musician's Quarter is the old musical heart of Nice with street names such as Verdi, Rossini and Berlioz and the area is full of beautiful Art Deco, Belle Epoque and Bourgois buildings found along the pretty tree-lined streets.

A stone’s throw away from the apartment are the fantastic shops found along the bustling pedestrian street, the Zone Pietonne, and the antique shops along Rue de France are a great place for picking up some unique, valuble finds. The high street shopping strip, Avenue Jean Médecin, is also just a few minute's walk from the apartment and a short stroll south leads straight to the scenic Promenade des Anglais.

Further down the Zone Pietonne is Place Massena, the main square in Nice, where the Niçois converge for public holidays, carnivals and festivals. A big part of the Niçois lifestyle is enjoying live music in outdoor venues during the summertime and visitors and locals alike can enjoy great open-air concerts in Place Massena and in the Jardin Albert 1er park next to the Old Town.

The Old Town, or 'Vieux Nice', and the waterfront are found just next to the main square so guests can also spend a day wandering through the area's colourful narrow streets before heading down for a great day of sunbathing on one of Nice's many public or private beaches.

Just 10 minutes north of the apartment is the main SNCF train station in Nice where trains run very frequently to other fantastic towns and villages along the Côte d'Azur including Cannes, Antibes, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Monaco.
