Nice has always been an exciting holiday destination for all ages and all seasons. The summer months are animated and lively. The stunning beaches are the ideal place to relax under the hot Mediterranean sun and if it gets too hot, the crystal clear waters are cooling and refreshing.

The city itself is always buzzing. On every street is a delicious restaurant, charming café or chic boutique. This apartment is in the middle of all of this, located on the Rue d’Italie just off the main shopping street, Avenue Jean Médecin. The quiet street is the perfect place to get some peace in the bustling city center.

Situated on the 1st floor of a traditional Niçois building, the apartment is full of old world charm with contemporary touches. The white washed walls, tall French windows and high ceilings give the apartment a sense of light and space.

The spacious living area is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Curl up on the large sofa and watch a DVD or listen to some music on the HiFi stereo system. From the living room, through tall porte-fenêtre windows is the sun-soaked terrace. With views of the garden below and furnished with a dining table and chairs, the terrace is a lovely place to enjoy al fresco meals.

The separate kitchen is well equipped with all the modern appliances needed to cook a delicious meal at home and includes an oven, stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher.

On cooler days, meals can be shared in the separate dining room that is furnished with a large round table for 4, perfect for entertaining a few guests or for just having a quiet night in.

The master bedroom is grand and luxurious. With wooden floors, high ceilings and a large double bed, this room is the perfect place to fall asleep after a long day at the beach or exploring Nice. The tall windows allow light to flood into the room and also provide a separate access out onto the sunny terrace.

The second bedroom is large and spacious. Perfect for kids, the room has a comfortable double bed, two separate single beds and plenty of storage space.

Just off both bedrooms is a large, modern bathroom with a standing shower and a separate toilet.

The apartment is fully equipped to help you make the most of your holiday. Wireless Internet is available throughout the apartment, a parking space for one small car is provided and central heating will keep you comfortable during the cool season.

Nice is a fantastic place to visit during any season of the year and this apartment is located in the center of this great cosmopolitan city that is full of activities and entertainment all year-round. From gastronomic French restaurants and chic boutiques to water sports and a relaxed beach culture, there is always something for everyone to enjoy.

Nice has the luxury of having a seven-kilometre beach and turquoise blue waters that run alongside the center of the city. Only a 10-minute walk from the apartment is the beautiful, palm tree-lined Promenade des Anglais and Nice's famous pebble beaches where you can rent a sun bed on a private beach, sip cocktails under the hot Mediterranean sun and take a refreshing swim in the bright blue sea. Then come winter, the great ski resorts are only an hour and a half drive away from the city.

The apartment is also located only seconds away from Nice's major shopping street, Avenue Jean Médecin, where you can shop in small French boutiques, high-street stores or the famous department store, Galeries Lafayette.

The Old Town of Nice is a hive of small winding streets centred around the bustling 'Cours Saleya'. This Provençal street hosts a local fruit and vegetable market daily, perfect for picking up fresh, local produce. Come evening time, the Cours Saleya is transformed and the market is replaced with restaurant terraces serving delicious seafood, traditional Niçois dishes and authentic Italian cuisine. Lively bars and clubs come alive throughout the Old Town at night, creating an exciting and friendly atmosphere.

Nice's main train station is also only a short walk from the apartment. Explore the rest of the French Riviera such as Cannes, Monaco, Antibes, Villefranche-sur-Mer, or even the Italian coast in less then an hour on the train.
