The Festival International du Cirque de Monte Carlo was launched in 1974 by Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Over the years it has gathered momentum within the Circus community to become the most prestigious event in the industry.
Attracting such internationally renowned acts as the Cirque de Soleil, the Gruss brothers and State circus's from round the globe it is one of the best places to see world class performers from al over the world.
The artists compete in a series of shows that spans the ten day festival to win a variety of awards including the prestigious Golden Clown award. A spectacular gala evening awards an overall winner and thereafter follows a series of 'Winners Show'.
The festival is hosted and supported by Princess Stephanie of Monaco and runs from 15th January until 25th January in the Fontvieille district of Monaco. Prices start at €30 rising to €70, €80 and €110 for front row seats on certain evenings. The Gala evening prices area slightly more expensive, but a spectacular night is guaranteed.
