NRJ Music Awards 2014

The NRJ Music Awards was created in 2000 by the French radio station NRJ in association with French television station TF1. The awards take place every year on the eve of MIDEM (international music market conference in Cannes.

A concert, featuring a host of French and International singing stars, launches the event in star spangled style at the Palais des Festival.

Awards are given for International Artist of the Year, Francophone Artist of the Year as well as best male, best female, best group, best song, best album and revelation of the year both at home in France and Internationally.

The winners are voted for by the public and awards are made on stage at the Palais des Festival at the MIDEM opening concert in Cannes.

Previous International winners have included Madonna, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child, Robbie Williams, Rhianna and the Black Eyed Peas. French victors have included Sofia Essaidi, Christopher Mae, Mylene Farmer and Jenifer.

Usually held in January, the 2014 NRJ Awards may be breaking with tradition this year and be moved forward to December 2013. This nws has yet to be confirmed by the organisers, but Riviera Rental Guide will update this page as soon as it has more information.
