Under the advice of his medical experts, Sir Elton John has had to cancel his concert at the Salle des Etoiles, as part of the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival. The concert was due to take place on the 24th of July, but unfortunatlely the 66 year old singer will not be able to perform at this year's event and is indeed unlikely to perform at any of his European dates this summer.
The cancellation of this date does not however affect the rest of the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival's outstanding programme of concerts which includes Bryan Ferry, Deep Purple and Elvis Costello, which follow sell-out performances from pop giants Rihanna and Santana.
