 Summer on the Cote d’Azur is an event in itself, the beaches, cocktails, the cars, the barely-clad girls. For an evening out, be inspired with the Aquamarine of the sea and the bright blue of the sky with this winning look for your eyes.
With the right make-up bits, it’s just four easy steps to smouldering sexy, sea-inspired mermaid eyes.
1. Grab your white highlighting shade and sweep an arc just underneath each browbone. Then, using an eyeshadow brush, blend down toward the crease, and make sure it’s blended up into the eyebrow.
2. Next, gently swipe your blue shade (Neptune, in this case) over the entire lid using the same shadow brush.
3. You’ll need an angled brush for the next step. Grab your seagreen shadow and, starting at the center of the lid along the lashline, draw a line extending just past the corner of your eye, and give it a subtle wing tilting upward. Now take your shadow brush (tapping off any excess of leftover blue shadow) and create a sideways V from the green line you just drew, pressing shadow into the crease and extending up toward the browbone, blending as you go. The goal is to have the center of the lid remain blue.
4. To finish, pick the color you prefer and, using the angled brush again, line the entire eye just below the bottom lashes. This creates a shimmery look that mimics light reflecting on water.
